My Photo
Name:
Location: Pompano Beach, Florida, United States

In my work I study the relationships of people and the repetitive behaviors they have. I use a variety of media as a way to conduct my thoughts, including my body, lard, potato chips, paint, found objects, sculpture, performance, and video. I usually use every day objects that people can relate to on a personal level. I have most recently used a variety of medium including; cigarettes, plastic bag, cars, clothing, toys, and drinking glasses. The majority of my work is based off of personal experience and through personal observation. I am often referencing my child hood experiences, my relationship between my father and I, and my personal life history. I try to bring in the viewers personal experiences and history, to trigger a memory when they interpret my work to give it a different, but similar meaning to the one I was portraying. Each viewer is supposed to walk away with their own interpretation, basing their interpretation from the foundation I laid for them with my original art work.

50 Bucks and A Day or Two Later 2007

Through this sculpture, I am referencing an addictive behavior and what one is left with after the addiction is temporarily satisfied.
